My Diagnosis, My Story ...
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) ~ Dx'd May '07, at age 46.

Traditional USA standard of care for MS hasn't been of any benefit to me ~ it's incredibly expensive (mine was $30k a year) & comes w/ serious side effects ~ IE: Tysabri is known to cause deadly brain infections; CRAB drugs can cause liver damage (as if the flu-like symptoms the injectables cause 3-7 X a week aren'enough) ...

Adult Stem Cell Therapy is currently THE option for patients w/ no options. I've had two weeks of ASCT in Costa Rica in June of '09 ~ my progress & that of some others there for the same will be updated here ASAP ~ please check back soon!

JANICE:

Glad to hear from you. I tell everyone that you put the blog together and I have given it to several people who are seriously considering going down to Costa Rica. One of these people told me the other day that Costa Rica was trying to get her to go to the other center as the San Jose clinic seems to be getting backed up. It was her understanding that the same physicians traveled between the two centers. This woman is in the Ft. Worth area. I think she use to work in the DA's office in Dallas. She seemed to be getting worse and was wanting treatment.

Dave is still limping but he is learning to make his steps with his right leg again. His pain is gone, He is not taking the expensive medicine. He does not have to use a cane anymore.

Keep in touch.

John had his first injection yesterday and it did not go well .John thinks they didn't numb him up before they did it. The other two women that got the same thing said theirs was not that bad. The stomach is black and blue where they did lipo suction and he is pretty sore.We are looking to get away for the week end so looking for a tour at the beach for the week end. Not to sure if John is up to a long bus ride anywhere yet. I don't know why they have the injections so far apart? We want to get this over with and get home. We are very active so just sitting around is driving us both crazy. To get John better is the main thing so we will hang in there.

How are you feeling now? John and I leave Nov 1rst for Costa Rica for our 1 month treatment so I will be taking videos of all the progress he makes.
The LDN he is taking has helped him so much with dealing with heat. John can now go outside and work in the heat and before he started taking it he
could only go outside for a few min.

Life has interesting journeys and then we add MS. Things are
good. The bad days aren't as difficult after the second treatment
and they are fewer and far between. The heat tolerance is amazing. I hear Neil has something new up his sleeve so we will all see.

Jeremy is doing good.. he is not home much.. i think he is gradually trying to move out, but I think he is afraid to leave me alone. As long as he takes care of himself... then go ahead on. :~)

I have discoloration too. Has fatigue improved at all? That's the thing I most wish would improve, and stiffness in knees. It always seems to get worse when I get back.
