Research Student
My Diagnosis, My Story ...
In 2004, a friend of mine started an adult stem cell treatment center in Thailand to treat congestive heart failure and other heart disease. Their success was incredible. I was commissioned to design a building for that company and spent a lot of time in their facilities. I was awed and amazed by the power of adult stem cell treatments. Then the founder of that company, Don Margolis, realized the travesty that no one in the U.S. knew about these treatments or that they were available. He pledged to create an institute to remedy that problem and the Repair Stem Cell Institute was created.

"The Repair Stem Cell Institute's mission is to educate and inform the public about the rapid advances being made in Adult Stem Cell research so they can intelligently exercise their freedom of choice in medical care. We are the only Institution in the world to guide and help patients obtain stem cell treatment from appropriately licensed doctors who meet both patients' needs and RSCI's rigid standards . Patients suffering from illnesses and injuries for which conventional medical treatments have little to offer can now find the most credible stem cell therapy in the world and make informed choices. "

Soon after, I was hired to do some writing and design work for them. Over time, I became their writer/editor of every word that was distributed internally or to the public. I am currently doing a number of freelance jobs for them including Editor of their newsletter.

While I love the writing I am doing, there is an ancillary benefit to my job. Nothing gives me more pleasure than when someone contacts me, on the brink of hopelessness and despair, and asks me if there is any future hope for an adult stem cell cure for…Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, congestive heart failure, MS, spinal cord injury, the list goes on and on. I can barely restrain my excitement when I tell them that there is one, 2, 4 , 5 treatment centers in the world who have been successfully treating that particular condition for years.

Thank you-

California Funds ADULT STEM CELLS - 10 to 4!

California Awards Grants for Research Projects in NON-EMBRYONIC Stem Cells

By ANDREW POLLACK

Published: October 28, 2009

LOS ANGELES — In a tacit acknowledgment that the promise of human embryonic stem cells is still far in the future, California’s stem cell research program on Wednesday awarded grants intended to develop therapies using mainly other, less controversial cells.
[It's ok, you can say it...A-D-U-L-T stem cells. There, was that so hard?]

Can MS be treated with stem cells?

The recent article on Richard Humphries' triumph over his MS ( http://repairstemcell.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/my-ms-pain-is-gone/ ) prompted this response from a concerned reader. "Posting was bright and filled with promise, but, alas, not a lot of information. - CJD"

Good call CJD! I did some digging and would like to present the cumulative results to answer the question: Can MS be treated with stem cells?

You decide. Here are 11 articles from my blog, 47 from donmargolis.com, 28,000 from goo… Continue

Potential patients and their families must be skeptical about the veracity of the claims of treatment centers and the quality of service they provide. This article outlines many of those concerns and the questions which should be asked prior to embarking on a treatment regime from any medical facility. Facing a disease is difficult enough without worrying whether you are wasting your time and money on worthless treatments. So how can you be su… Continue
